Langtang North/South Federal Constituency: Tribunal Grants  Ex Parte Motions To Serve Hon.Beni Lar ,PDP & INEC

The Plateau Election Petitions Tribunal on Wednesday has received and granted ex parte motion requests for Hon. Yaknan  Samuel Yarnap at its sitting in West of Mines to effect service on Hon Beni Butmak Lar , Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and Independent National  Electoral Commission, INEC, as respondents.

Barr.Justine Lap Sarnaan Daboer in his petition /PL/HR/11/2023 whose motion exparte was filed on 07/04 /2023 seeking the leave of the tribunal to serve them through substituted means.

The  One-man panel, headed by Justice Bello Mohammed Tukur, granted the motions.

The motions included three substituted services for the Federal House of Representatives seat, for the Langtang North & South Federal Constituency seat.

The motions for the Federal House of Assembly seat of the Federal constituency were won by Hon Beni Lar of the PDP as the first respondent, while INEC and PDP were the second and third respondents.

The YPP candidate got his exparte motion for substituted service and the exparte motion granted was for Yaknan Samuel of the YPP against Beni Lar as the first respondent, the PDP, and INEC as the second and third respondents.

However, the granted motions would enable the party to obtain and make photocopies of certified true copies of INEC documents, BVAS, ballot papers, Form EC8A, and other documents.

The substituted service was for Yaknan Samuel to serve copies of the petition filed challenging the declaration of the 1st respondent, Hon Beni Butmak Lar as a dully elected member of Federal House Rep Langtang North and South and any other processes in the matter.
