Lalong Presents Agwom Azere With First Class Staff Of Office

Governor Simon Bako Lalong has presented the traditional Royal father of Agwom Izere, HRH REV. (Dr) Isaac Azi Wakili with the staff of first class office after 16 years of vacant position  of their paramount ruler .

The first Royal father of the Azere nation was, HRH Yakubu Adamu who was the first class chief in December  1960 and died in 1999 then ,REV Dr Isaac Azi Wakali was enthroned on the 8th of August,2003 .

The governor charged, the new Agwom Izere as the custodian of the customs and tradition of the Izere Nation to note that government expects to bring peaceful coexistence among his subject.

He encouraged that the rich cultural values of the Izere Nation is preserved and protected under the leadership of REV.Dr Isaac Azi Wakili .

Lalong condemned eroded result of societal loss of morals on the platform of so-called modernization and also rise of liberalism in theology ,adding there is no better time to ensure that the promotion of peace and peaceful coexistence remain the focal point of his leadership.

He reiterated that the Agwom Izere stool is not a political stool so Ada Agwom Izere is a father to all be endeavor to eschew all tendencies that seek to politicized the stool.

Lalong promised to construct road but appeal for unifying point of all the people by supporting rescue government to add value to campaign against corruption of President Muhammadu Buhari.

“We have demonstrated our commitment in seeing that Izere land is accessible, with the issue of inaccessible roads in the Area so the ongoing constructions will be continued to completion”, he noted.

The Agwom Izere HRH REV. Dr. Isaac Azi Wakili said, his quick desire to faster progress cannot be achieved when the community is in disarray and therefore I appeal to all Afizere sons and daughters to unite in order to attract meaningful socio-economic wellbeing and peace.

According to him, it is very important I should emphasized that a people without Godliness are leading to.a doom so I therefore strongly call on the Afizere to be submissive to the Almighty in worship and faith so as to bring purity and progress in the land.

He has observed that foreign cultures are infiltrating into our cherished cultural norms and values thereby constituting a lot of nuisance, so I seriously urge the Afizere to fight against this menace.

Wakili pledged not to disappoint his community in any way in the task of discharging his functions by protecting and projecting our rich cultural values as the paramount traditional ruler.

He strongly admonishes traditional rulers of Afizere land and other stakeholders to ensure that the peaceful coexistence the community is known for is being jealously guided and sustained.

“I appeal for harmonious and mutual coexistence and devoid of baseless skirmishes on farmlands and boundary issues”, he explained.
