A former Federal Capital Territory ,FCT , Director and Gubernatorial aspirant of the People Democratic Party ,Engr Jimmy Cheto has said ,Governor Simon Bako Lalong lack the experience and capacity to effectively rule over Plateau state under the present democratic governance .
He commended President Muhammadu Buhari for degrading the Boko Haram insurgents but condemned the ongoing attacks by men suspected to be Fulani herdsmen militia who are worse dangerous Boko Haram.
Speaking at his residence in Dan Daura, Tudun Wada community of Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau state on Monday he said that the Plateau mans is a God fearing person who needs someone that is strong at heart to protect him, his culture and his heritage as a people.
He said he is eyeing the Governorship position of Plateau state for the third time now as he accused the All Progressive Congress, APC of promising Nigerian security of lives and properties and fighting corruption which they have not given but added that many are stealing million under the administration yet no arrest or prosecution of corrupt people has been made.
Cheto added that he is going on with “Emancipation phase 2 of late first civilian Governor Solomon Daushep Lar late of restructuring, economic, empowerment use of digital technology to achieve total peace.
He said the former secretary to government Hon Babacir Lawal who stole over N200 million is still free moving and there is high level of corruption in the oil sector where no single person has been arrested but said Buhari is going about deceiving Nigerians and international communities of claims of fighting corruption .
Cheto revealed that if this government really wants to fight the corrupt politicians it should have put in place a culture to stop it by putting the right people in all the ministries and not promoting their religious bigotry and ethnic agenda which he said it only accommodate some session of the northern parts.
He frowned that Nigeria economic under President Muhammadu Buhari is in shambles because dollars is on rise and all industries has been closed down due to maladministration ,poor management of national wealth and political misguided leaders.
According to Engr Jimmy Cheto, Nigeria as the most black populated country rank among the highest number of poorest citizens in the world today.
He said the current defections of politicians is also part of politics where at this period;
“we continue to witness political alignment with other political parties, this movement gave room for the APC to clinched power from PDP in 2015, so to me is a welcome development.
Cheto who is a gubernatorial aspirant expressed satisfaction with the manner political activities is going on in Nigeria but caution politicians to play the politics in accordance with the dictate of the game by promoting healthy rivalry amongst them.
He reiterated ,” it is a healthy to us let there be movement to find a common ground and bring out ideological principle into politics ,if it is not healthy this present capacity movement that support to provide platform as was to APC in 2015 .
He pointed out that those who are key to the family victory are the people neglected, we need ideological, free and fair play in our nursing democracy.
Cheto noted the invasion of middle belt ,Plateau ,Nasarawa ,Benue ,Taraba ,Adamawa and Niger states where the is killing with high level of impunity as a dangerous to our cooperate existence in Nigeria.
