The Plateau State, Ministry for Lands, survey and Town planning has said the ministry is demanding that those operating fuel filling stations pay up their ground rents in order to quickly comply with the ongoing revenue drive.
The Commissioner of Lands, Survey and Town Planning, Yakubu Dati stated this during the distribution of grounds rent letters to remind private business owners that any defaulter shall pay ransom to the state government.
Dati listed the solar-powered street lights and the operation zero-pot holes as key projects that need money for completion to impact positively in boosting the prompt payment of staff salary, and increasing the state business ,community to resume night business and also to secure the environment.
The Government under the leadership of rescue leader, Governor Simon Bako Lalong is calling on peace loving citizens of the state to support his efforts in providing essential services and infrastructure in the state by paying their ground rents.
The team was also at the Nesco Headquarters where the Managing Director, Mr. De kretser assured of his support.
At Moulds Construction Ltd, the Managing Director Engr Sam Oyafemi said Moulds Ltd remains a partner to the state; also Alhaji Yahaya of Mobil also commended the Lalong administration for the people oriented projects.
The Commissioner was accompanied by his Permanent Secretary, Bar Naanman Gamde, the chairman of the task force, Bar A. C. Haruna and Directors from the Ministry of Lands, Survey and Town Planning.
