The former Treasurer of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ‘ Plateau State Council, Comr. Miss Ladi Emmanuel has been appointed as the National Ex-Officio of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).
The National Secretary Shuaibu Usman Leman the Walin Shadalafiya ,says ,The National President ,Comrade Chris Isiguzo disclosed that with the appointment, Comr. Ladi Emmanuel is now a member of the highest ruling body of the Union Central Working Committee CWC and the National Executive Council Member (NEC).
In an appointment letter signed by the Nationai Secretary of the Union Shuaibu Leman, congratulated her over the new appointment and urged her not to let the union down but should strive to promote the ideals of the NUJ.
Meanwhile, the leadership of the State Information Chapel of the state has congratulated Comr. Ladi Emmanuel over this well-deserved appointment.
According to the Chairman of the Chapel, Mr. Yohana Majau, who expressed happiness stated that the appointment of Comr. Ladi Emmanuel to the exalted position of National Ex-officio did not come to chapel as a surprise bearing in mind the hard effort she has put in the service of the union.
He appreciated the National Body of the Union for the appointment of their own to serve in this capacity and wish the Union well in its endeavors.
Our Correspondent reports that the letter of appointment of Comrade Ladi Emmanuel to replace the One time Chairman of the NUJ in Plateau state reads in Pat, “We write to extend the highest consideration of the Union and my warmest personal regards and to convey to you your appointment by the National President, Comrade Chris Isiguzo as Ex Ofiicio Member of the Union”.
“Your appointment which is in line with Article 5.C [8) 0f constitution takes immediate effect.
“While congratulating you, you will accept the reassurance of the Union to the highest esteem, please.
“Shuaibu Usman Leman Walin Shadalafiya National Secretary”.
