Labour Strike Day 8: Head of Service, Direct Directors, casual workers to return to work; stay at home-Organized Labour Insist

It is indeed a melodrama between top Government functionaries and the organized labour in Nasarawa state as the state Head of service Silas Dacho appealed to directors, Youth corp members and casual workers to return to work.

The appeal followed the ongoing strike as it reached day eight today, The Head of service during an interview with Journalists directed that all Directors, corp members and casual workers should withdraw from the ongoing strike as they are not a full staff.

But the state NLC chairman, Abdullahi Adeka called on workers to remain at home till further notice, The organized labour comprises of TUC,NUT,MHWU and amongst others shutdown the entire state.

The NLC in the state has taken a stringent measure by locking vast of Government offices preventing even the directors from accessing their offices; the absence of the state Governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura in the state has continued to hinder the peace pact between Government and labour.

All effort to speak to the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Suleiman Azorres proved abortive, everything has been grounded to a halt, the popular Lafia market has continued to record low turnout while the only referral hospital serving the people of Lafia and its environs has been shutdown
