Eyewitnesses and staff members at the secretariat confirmed to Daily Trust that the attackers, estimated to be over 300 in number, stormed the building at approximately 10 a.m.

The hoodlums forcefully gained entry into the secretariat, overpowering security and damaging offices within the premises.

The attackers allegedly made away with sensitive party documents, electronics, and an undisclosed sum of money believed to run into millions of naira.

Although police officers were said to have arrived shortly after the assailants dispersed, no arrests were made at the scene. Authorities have since confirmed the incident and assured the public that a full-scale investigation is underway.

In a statement, the Lagos State Police Command condemned the attack and emphasized that efforts are ongoing to track down the individuals responsible.
