A Governorship candidate under the Labour Party ,in Plateau state ,Amb.Bagudu Hirse ,has pledged to unite the citizens of Plateau state if voted into power in the February 2015 general elections.
Speaking in an exclusive interview yesterday at the state chapter of Labour party office , opposite NASCO group in Jos.
He explained that the development by governor Jang a lot need to be done in other zones built by the current administration ,it is not enough because the administration was constrained in that regard by lack of peace.
He said, more attention will be focus on arranging civil service for better productivity and promoting peaceful coexistence.
According to him, Governor Jonah David Jang has done a lot for the state in terms of developing and improving lives of the people through the establishment of landmark projects such as the ASTC , building special hospitals in three districts .
Hirse also disclosed that if elected, more emphasizes will be on six point agenda which include; Total return of peace and stability on plateau ,investment ,total respect for the rules of law which will backup with loyalty .
The second point is civil service moral is very low so I will ensure that all the three arms of government are reorganize and salaries shall be paid as when due .
The candidate, who sounded very optimistic, stressed the need for the people of Plateau state to be more united and support whoever that win the governorship seat of Plateau state.
He said, after working with NTA ,Jos from 1974 ,he retired into politics in 1991 under NRC as candidate but it was unfortunate that the plateau people have this misgivings of cheap mire blackmail of saying ,I was a Muslim ,I was married to a Muslim lady from Sokoto and have never became one .
Amb. Hirse emphasized on human development, health, education and agriculture which have been neglected so I am going to concentrate on all these sectors by addressing the falling standard of education.
He promised to fight poverty to its kneel with the resources available through machinist system and NESCO power sector have no reason for not supplying the state with stable power and the poor and elliptic power been experienced in the country will be tackle.
The Labour party governorship flag-bearer debunked speculation that Governor Jonah Jang sponsored him to destabilize the opposition. Which is not true, I was the chairman of Jang campaign committee but we parted ways.
