Kirfi Flood: Gov Bala Lambasts Reports On Deaths Figures, Sympathises With Victims

The Bauchi State Governor, Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed today paid an assessment visit to the scene of the flood disaster in Kirfi Local Government Area of the State.

 

Accordingly, the Governor also debunked the reports by some mediums on the number of deaths people caused by the flood in the area.

 

Addressing the communities in Kirfi local government area, Governor Bala sympathized with them and assured them of his administration’s support.

 

The Governor said the State Government has already provided palliative to the victims with all the essential materials needed to be provided with a view to cushion and ease their sufferings.

 

While sympathising with the victims, Bala used the medium to debunked reports that said thirteen persons lost their lives as a result of the flood in the area saying that properties worth millions of Naira lost with about 2000 houses affected.

 

Members of the Bauchi State House of Assembly who sympathized with the victims thanked Governor Bala for his concern and quick intervention.
