The Kebbi state government has announced the immediate redeployment of all cashiers in both the state and local government service back to their respective ministries to await further directives.
The Head of Service of the state Alhaji Babale Umar made the announcement while speaking to journalists in his office yesterday.
He said the state governor Alhaji Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, has approved the removal and redeployment of local government cashiers back to the Local Government Service Commission, while those in ministries should report back to the ministry of finance to await further posting.
The Head of Service said the decision to redeploy cashiers back to their respective mother ministries was informed by the fact that the posting of cashiers by ministry of finance was found to be in direct contravention of the civil service rules and regulations.
The Head of Service also said similar directives was also issued regarding secretaries of local government councils, who are directed to report to the office of the head of service to await further directives.
