Kanam Local Government went agog as the celebration galore were in full to capacity with supporters at Dengi ,the headquarters on Saturday when the APC gubernatorial campaign rally canvass for votes .
The people thronged the rally venue as early as 7: am in order to have first hand information and to see face to face with APC gubernatorial campaign team as the security had hectic time with the state security to control the mammoth crowd.
The All Progressives Congress gubernatorial candidate of Plateau state, Hon Simon Lalong reiterated to Plateau state indigenes of his readiness and commitment to transform the state if elected on the 11th April ,2015.
Speaking during his campaign rally in Kanam local government over the weekend, he said before these projects in the state people must be seen to be living in peace and harmony with one another.
According to him, with the cooperation of all a sundry, his administration would effect and develop sustainable service delivering.
Lalong promised to revamp the falling standard of educational sector , as according to him ,the sector had been dwindled due to poor attention and lack of supervision , monitoring .
The gubernatorial candidate with running mate were at the palace of Emir of Kanam ,Dr Mua’azu Muhammadu to seek for royal blessing in accompanied of the Chairman of the party Latep Dabang.
He further re-echoed his passion of making the state peaceful in 2015 general elections to be free and fair, where he urged all voters residing in the state to ensure they obtain their voters card .
Hon. Lalong before flagging off the campaign in Dengi ,he said kanam people would ever remains dire in his minds ,saying that due to poor nature of the road ,it has claimed so many lives during raining season more dividends will be achieve.
The Emir of Kanam Babagida Muhammadu the second advised people to shun politics of blackmail and live in peace with other believers.
He urged the citizens of the area to come out en-masse and vote the right and credible leaders that would make life meaningful for the people.
The Royal father then charged the people to ensure that collect their cards ,so as not to be disenfranchise them stressing the need for every Citizen to vote.
