Kaduna Deputy Speaker Dumps APC For PDP

The Deputy Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Hon John Audu Kwaturu, on Friday dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over what he termed as “impunity” .

According to the lawmaker, who represents Kachia Constituency in the State Assembly, the APC has failed his people in Southern Kaduna.

The Deputy Speaker, who confirmed the development, said he could not continue to remain in a party that has failed to recognise due process.

“The ideology of fairness, equity and justice no longer exist in APC and that is why I had to quit.

“But before I quit, l did communicate and discussed with the Deputy Governor, Architect Bala Bantex and other party stakeholders in my local government area, Kachia local government area.

”I also see no reason why I should remain in a party where my interest is not protected.

“So, I decided to dump the party alongside thousands of my supporters, including my Ward Chairman,” he said.
