The  CAN leaders said their weapons is to organize a peaceful prayer session to seek the face of God in ending the political genocide in the Middle-belt, Benue, Plateau, Taraba and Adamawa states where  Christians are singled out in their worship places and maimed by Fulani herders who are ostensibly fighting a religious war in  Nigeria.

Speaking during the prayer at the Rwang Pam stadium on Tuesday in Jos, the Chairman of CAN Jos North Chapter Rev Canon Nenman Gowon  said, “we all gather here today dressed in black attires indicating our Sad mood over killings going on in the land.”

According to him, the church as a body is vulnerable to all this carnage where spiritual fathers are hacked to death while conducting church service are all aimed at attacking and wiping us from the surface of the earth.

Rev. Nenman Gowon said parts of our worship centers had been taken over in Farin Lamba community of   Dong where houses belonging to Christians are demolished with many lives lost to that mayhem.

He expressed sadness that the devil has taken over “our land roaring like a Lion seeking how to devour us, so we are simply coming together to protest.

We assembled here knowing that Jesus Christ is taking over the city of Jos because foreigners have infiltrated into our home wreaking havoc on innocent citizens.

Also addressing the believers was Apostle Joseph Ribs, who added that the burial of the priests sparked our mind to pray to God because the only strong weapon peter used in the Bible to conquer his enemies was prayer.

We have bad news for those planning to kill Christian in Plateau state which is that their intention will fail, our generation will not entertain fear in the midst of this happening, and we shall defend ourselves.

CAN chairman Dong, Rev Bulus Magaji revealed that yesterday another heavy religious crisis was averted in Plateau state when he asked the worshippers to observe a minute silence.

We thank God for keeping us alive today to witness, so we can be kept in prison but our prayers shall break the camps of our enemies.
