The Fulani Socio Cultural Group World over under the aegis Jonde Jam National Youth President, Alh Saidu Maikano Adamu is asking Anambara state Governor Willie Obiano and Commissioner of Police, John Abang, and their traditional leaders to address the ongoing crisis between the Igbos and Fulanis.
They called on lgbo leaders and the Governor of Anambara state to urgently end the crisis.
The National President, Jonde Jam said their attention was drawn to the killing of 108 cows in Ifite-Ogwari, Ayamelum Council of Anambra State between December 20, 2019 and January 27, 2020 ,saying government should fish out the perpetrators .
Speaking to journalists over the killing, he condemned in it totality by calling on the federal government to safeguard the lives of their members in Southeast Nigeria .
According to him, the Southeast Chairman Alhaji Gidado Siddiki in his confirmation statement on Monday at Garriki Market, Amansea, Awka North Council, he said those killed include , Hasan Mobali (35), Hassan Rabiu (35) Abdullahi Rahman (31) and Bahabu Ilu (38) respectively .
The Jonde Jam disclosed that the igbo should realize that they’re still living in the Northern part of the country and going about their businesses without them being attack but they warn that if such ugly act continue we may have no other option that to embark on reprisal.
Adamu advised southeast leadership to ensure that adequate compensation is pay for the dead of their members including cows which is the only way to end future crises in their communities.
The association had written letters to Governor Willie Obiano and Commissioner of Police, John Abang, and their traditional leaders for them to find a smooth ways of ending outbreak of communal clashes between Fulani and igbo .
He called on the authorities to bring the perpetrators to book to serve as deterrent.
