JOHESU Called Off Strike: Health Activities Picks Off In Federal Medical Center Yola By Tom Garba, Yola

The over two months strike embarked by the members of joint health sector union (JOHESU) has been laid to rest as the union agreed to suspend the industrial action after due consultation with the authority concern. Normalcy has returned to the Federal Medical Center (FMC) Yola as delivery of medical services peaked up immediately upon the announcement of said suspension.
JOHESU members comprising the entire non doctors in the Nigerian public hospitals have embarked on industrial action for close to three months resulting in the paralysis of health care delivery in Nigerian hospitals.
Confirming the restoration of full health care delivery at the hospital, the Principal Information Officer of the center, Malam Adamu Muhammad Dodo, said that full healthcare delivery services have been restored in the Centre from 3rd February, 2015.
According to him “Full medical Services have been restored in the facility sequel to the announcement of an unconditional suspension of the strike by the JOHESU
