Jigawa state Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology has fixed Monday 10th August as resumption date for senior and junior secondary three, (SS3, JSS3), primary six, and Nomadic schools 6 in both public and private schools in the State.
The Commissioner Ministry Of Education, Science, and Technology Dr. Lawan Yunusa Dan Zomo who made the disclosure in a meeting with Directors and Heads of Agencies under the ministry said, the resumption of the final year students is to make them prepare for their final examinations.
He added that the State government has provided all necessary protective materials against the COVID-19 pandemic in schools.
He said the ministry has set up a monitoring committee that will be going around the schools to ensure that all the schools are in total compliance with the guidelines on COVID-19 in all the schools.
The commissioner called on the Teachers to redouble their efforts towards achieving the desired objectives.
