Jigawa Revokes Three Township Construction Contracts, Awards New One By Umar Faruq Usman Dutse
Jigawa state government has revoked the contract of three township road awarded to three various construction companies and awarded the construction of Ringim karnaya road at the cost of N457million naira
Those township roads which were revoked by the state government include Roni township road which was awarded to Broni Prono early last year at the cost of N900m and that of kafin hausa local government which was awarded to Triater Construction Company at the cost of 1.23billion.
This was disclosed by the Commissioner of Information Youth Sport and Culture Alhaji babandi Ibrahim Gumel who said that the contracts were revoked for non performance on the part of the construction companies handling the projects.
Babandi stated further that the Jigawa State Government has approved the award of the Roni township road projects to newly construction company which is only 5km road and expected to be completed within eight month at the cost of N800million while for kafin hausa which is 13km road is expected to be completed within eight months duration at the cost of N1.93M and for sule tankarkar which is only five kilomiter road was awarded at the cost of 9.9M also is expected to be completed in eight months duration and the contract was awarded to Abdeen construction company limited.
