643 teachers have been recruited in Jigawa, the Jigawa state SUBEB Chairman Alhaji Salisu Zakar, said this in an exclusive interview with our reporter in Jigawa.
He said out of the total number of 1780 teachers needed by the State, 643 have been recruited.
Zakara said they are now looking forward to recruiting more teachers in the state as he said that the state has succeeded in achieving 80% in the renovation of schools in the State.
He added that over 35 schools were damaged during the recent flood disaster where about six primary schools were taken over by IDPs as 20 schools were completely taken over by floods in Auto local government area in the state
He said that five schools in Jahun local government area have no access road to school due flood problems in the area.
While seven schools in Kafin Hausa and two in Kirikasamma Ringim 3 were affected, while he said in Taura LGA nine schools were affected.
Zakari denied the rumour going on in the state that girl child is not fully accommodated in the state education’s system, as he said it is also a blatant lie that pupils are taking lessons under trees in Jigawa.
