He made the call while addressing newsmen after the eid prayers in Dutse, the state capital.
According to him, Nigerians need to be prayerful and learn to love and tolerate one another.
“I congratulate the people of Jigawa state for seeing a peaceful eid, and I call on them to be prayerful so that the country would overcome its challenges.” The Governor said.
Alhaji Badaru Abubakar further explained that he cannot go beyond the summon of the Chief Imam who called on peaceful coexistence among Nigerian irrespective of tribe, ethnicity or religion.
Similarly, the chief Imam of Dutse Central Mosque, Dr. Abubakar Sani Birnin Kudu urged Muslims to love and respect everyone irrespective of ethnicity and religion.
He also called on parents to take responsibility for their children and make sure they get good and quality education because according to him, education remains key to solving the nation’s problems.
