Jigawa Court Adjourns Trial Of Ex, Commissioners, Local Government Officials For Alleged Breach Of Trust, Criminal Conspiracy To 27 July, 2017

The Magistrate Court Dutse, Jigawa, on Monday adjourned the trial of three former commissioners, and three executives of Association of local Government Chairmen of Nigeria (ALGON) who served under the immediate past governor of Jigawa, Alhaji Sule Lamido to 27th July, 2017.

The three commissioners are; Alhaji Mahmoud Kuit, Alhaji Salisu Indirawa and Alhaji Nasiru Roni who served as commissioners for local government at different times during Lamido, while the local  government officials were; Alhaji Abba Daguro, Alhaji Shehu Chamo and Alhaji Muktari Ibrahim who also served as of chairmen of Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) that time.

The accused person are been charged for criminal conspiracy, criminal breach of trust by public servants and public servants disobeying direction of law with intent to cause injury to the public, the offences which contravened sections, 97, 317 and 123a of the penal code of the state.

The Director public Prosecution (DPP) Musa Imam and the Chief State Counsel, Aliyu Abdullahi prayed the court to give them more time to make amendments on the charges against the accused.

Barrister Muhammad Lamin, the presiding Judge of Chief Magistrate Court, granted the request and adjourned the case to 27th July, 2017 for the amendment and hearing.

Counsel to the accused Barrister Yakubu Rubba said he has no objection to the plea.
