Israel Is Behind Potiskum School Bomb Blast-Sheikh Zakzaky By Stephen Lawal
Leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria His Eminence, Sheikh Ibraheem Yaqoub Zakzaky said, the Ashura and secondary school attacks in Potiskum in which majority of the victims were children has Israeli landmark and connection.
The Leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria made the statement on Monday during the 18th day of Ashura Majlis at the Hussainiyyah Baqiyyatullah, Zaria.
He explained that out of the 29 people killed during the attack on Ashura in Potiskum last Monday, 21 were children, while the second attack on a science secondary school barely a week later killed over 40 children. He also cited the Quds Day killings in Zaria in which most of the victims were youths and children.
“You can see that from these attacks and similar ones in other places, children were the prime targets. This is what Israel had done and is still doing in Palestine. As children are the future and backbone of any nation, the aim is to kill the future of Nigerian nation”, observed Sheikh Zakzaky.
Sheikh Zakzaky said all these atrocities are being perpetrated under the bogus of a faceless terror cell called Boko Haram, “when in the actual sense Nigerian government is the real Boko Haram that is being sponsored and tele-guided by our enemies beyond the shores”.
According to Sheikh Zakzaky, what is happening in Nigeria is pre-planned as all unit commanders of the Nigeria military were deliberately chosen for the dastardly operation, adding that they are people with grudges and scores to settle who come from a particular region of the country.
He lamented over the general silence of people in the face of the atrocities being committed unchallenged. “Everybody kept mute, including the clerics, army generals and politicians. “Even when they talk, it becomes outrageous. I heard one politician calling for international help to contain the situation. How ridiculous!”
He pointed out that, the prevailing situation is similar to what took place during the rule of the Ummayads, where no one dared to speak against the oppression and many people turned their backs on Imam Husain (AS).
He said, as a result of that general silence the general concept and interpretation of Islam was deliberately distorted to satisfy the rulers. “During the period, as it is now, the mighty is always right. It is the same thing now, Islam and Muslims are given different interpretation and names. Islam and anything Islamic is associated with terror. Yazid raided city of Madina, many were killed and women raped, and no one dared to speak against it”.
His Eminence however said, with the onslaught on the Islamic Movement, the atrocities of the government has now become an open secret, and people have perceived the real truth that the Nigerian military is behind the killings and bombings. “The people in Potiskum especially, are becoming more aware now because what happened affected so many people”.
Sheikh Zakzaky disclosed that, the rate at which the terror cell in Nigeria is capturing cities, killing and raping women, it is part of the plan to extend the onslaught to every major city in the country.
