Irate Youths Attack Jigawa Federal Lawmaker, As He Narrowly Escaped Being Lynched

Aggrieved Youths in Jahun local government has protested against a member of the House of Representatives, representing Jahun and Miga constituency, Alhaji Sa’idu Miga over alleged nonperformance in office.

The incident happened at the commissioning of 6.5 kilometers Jahun township road by the chairman Nigeria governors’ forum Gov. Abdul Aziz Yari.

The Jahun township road project of 6.5 kilometers was constructed at the cost of N940million.

Also other projects commissioned by Gov. Abdul Aziz Yari include the 29km Gagarawa to Bosuwa road at the cost of N3.4 billion.

The aggrieved youths bitterly protested while chanting “bama yi ,bama yi meaning we are not with you, we are not with you moving directly towards the member an action that lead to the disruption of the function as one couldn’t hear what the governor and others guests were saying while delivering their speeches.

Universalreportersng.com findings observed that if not because of security personnel that protected and whisked the lawmaker, he would have been beaten by the aggrieved youths.

They said the member have nothing to show since he was elected as member representing Jahun/Miga constituency at the green chamber.

Gov. Yari commended Governor Badaru for completing the inherited projects of previous administration while executing new ones.

Presenting his speech Governor Badaru Abubakar explained that his administration has constructed over 1262km of roads within three years in office.

He assured that his administration will continue to provide more dividends  of democracy to the citizens of the state.
