Institute of Mining, Jos Branch promises cordial working relationship management By Yakubu Busari,Jos

The Nigerian Institute of Mining and Geosciences (SSAUTHRIAL) ,Jos Branch Protem Chairman Ralph Ogunsanya has promised to establish confidence with the management  staff and union body for mutual working relationship .

Ogunsanya stated this during his welcome address on the inauguration of institute of mining and Geosciences yesterday at Tudun Wada branch office .

He said,”it is an expression of interest in the establishment of the union,for the furtherance of staff welfares and mutually beneficial working relationship between us (the workers ) and our employeer (NIMG,Jos) .

Stressing further that Nigerian institute of Mining and Geosciences was established by the Federal Government to be a center of excellence of international standard that would attract students for training and research in mining and geosciences from within and outside the country ,he added.

According to him, the institute is designed to provide an opportunity for manpower training and institutional capacity building and for the mining sector ,from which practically oriented and capable technical and management cadre manpower will be produced to plan and management in developmental activities in the mining sector.

Chairman Research institute sector of SSAUTHIAL, Barr F. A Uwadlae sued for the cooperation and support of members in actualizing the dream for the untiring efforts in transforming the Nigerian Institute of Mining and Geosciences.

Uwadlae said the union executives or leaders that agitate for better salaries and not enhance welfare package for its members and workers alike.

He urged the union executives to also ensure that they fight against injustice ,oppression in the system and promote and protect the interest of its members.

The chairman also reminded management not to forgot to realize that power is transient and that no position is permanent and indeed all power belong  to God .

He also warned that is more dangerous to some members to sit on the fence as there will be no union to protect your interest ,advice that welfare of members should adequately address .
