Inspector General Of Police Promotes Late Inspector Idris Musa Post-Humously To The Rank Of ASP

Late Inspector Idris Musa who died while fighting Boko Haram insurgents recently in Kano, has been promoted Post-Humously to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police by the Inspector General of Police.

In a statement signed by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Jimoh O. Moshood, he said; “ IGP promotes Post-Humously Late Inspector Idris Musa to the Rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police “the Inspector Died as a Result of Injuries he sustained from IEDs Attack on his Team by Boko-Haram Remnant in Kano on 24th July, 2017.”

According to the statement it reads thus; the Inspector General of Police has promoted post-humously late Inspector Idris Musa to the rank of an Assistant Superintendent of Police for act of bravery, gallantry and supreme sacrifice of losing his life in active service to his fatherland, Nigeria and the Nigeria Police Force. The late Police Officer will be remembered as one of the heroes of the Nigeria Police Force in the fight against Boko-Haram insurgency in Nigeria.”

“It will be recalled that Inspector Idris Musa eventually died at about 0100hrs of 24th July, 2017 from injury he sustained along with two (2) other Police Officers who survived when they came under IEDs attack from the remnant of Boko-Haram insurgents who were moving out to attack public centres, place of worships and other locations in Kano metropolis in the early hours of 23rd of July, 2017, the statement stated.

According to the statement, the Inspector General of Police has directed that the late Inspector Idris Musa be given a befitting burial.
