Insecurity In Nasarawa: How Gov.Al-Makura Imported Fulani Mercenaries -Hon. Muluku, By Rabiu Omaku
Honourable Muhammed Muluku member Nasarawa State House of Assembly has described Governor Al-Makura as ineffective chief executive, describing the APC government in Nasarawa as a failed administration.
Muluku gave the hint in an interview held today at his country home of Nasarawa Eggon, Muluku a member representing Nasarawa Eggon East chastised the governor for harbouring Fulani mercenaries causing untold hardships to the Eggons in Nasarawa North Senatorial Zone.
He expressed regret over the escalation of skirmishes to Nasarawa North Senatorial district, saying that the state that was peaceful before was plunged into state of anarchy, our people were chased away from the Southern Zone and now it happens at our door step which is Nasarawa North Senatorial Zone.
“Over 31 persons mostly women were killed by hired fulani’s at my village of Arugbadu, the attacks were extended to Bakyano, Arikya, during these attacks no security were deployed to the crisis prone areas up till this time, he said.”
The rising spate of insecurity was due to the bad governance exhibited by Al-Makura since assumption of office, the violence will not only affect everybody, the violence has affected our corporate existence as a people.
Fielding questions on the presence of security personnel at the crisis prone communities, Muluku buttressed that no single soldier was deployed to the troubled area.”
Where the N1m security fund accrued to the state, the governor is should give answer to this.
There is no military formation, no food, no medical facilities, and camp for displaced Eggons from the State.
When asked on the recent donation of relief materials to the internally displaced person, IDPs, by the State Government, he said there was no presence of relief materials doled out to IDPs from Nasarawa Eggon.
“I am representing the people of Nasarawa Eggon East at the Assembly but I’m not aware of relief materials donated to displaced persons, even as there was no single dine given to the Eggons.
“In addition go to my school now and you will pity those occupying classrooms there, my school Foundation Private School, was filled to capacity, even homes in Nasarawa Eggon are overstretched with the influx of people, he added.
“As of this moment Nasarawa community expended barely two million on security, we are those paying money to soldiers to ensure our people go back to their abode, no any stringent measure was taking by the governor of the state,” he exclaimed.
