A group of concerned indigents of Kunkiyam district of Kanam and Nasarawa in Lamba district of Wase Local Government councils have called on  the present administration of  Governor Simon Lalong to take critical consideration of the road network linking  Lamba to Jarmai and Yola wakkat through Bashar district respectively.

This call was contained in a press statement made available to Journalists in Plateau state. Spokesman of the two local governments Mr Danladi Wuyep who described the increase in infrastructural decay and poverty in the state said; “I challenge the present government to come forward and tell the  people of Bwarat Busari and Nasarawa  one of the developmental projects sited in their communities or government is ready to  embark upon “.

Wuyep described the deliberate increase of prices of foodstuffs and other consumables by traders during religious festival as ungodly and exploitative.

He stressed that arbitrary increase of prices of petroleum and foodstuffs and transport fares during the holy month of Xmas and Sallah under the guise of festive mood, is “simply profiteering and exploitative”, adding that the two major religious frown at such vices.

Wuyep reiterated that “,,Nigerian traders and commercial vehicle operators often wait for religious festival every year during which they hike prices of goods and services to an unprecedented level”.

He appealed to President Buhari to re-introduce price regulatory body to ensure that prices of fruits, food items and services are not increased arbitrarily.

While urging Lalong to address the issue of displaced less privileged ones by criticizing the various economic policy of government saying “various economic terms introduced by the government were yet to translate to good living and better life for the man on the street.
