INEC fixes March 9th for rerun in Tudunwada /Kabong

The member representing Riyom/Barkin Ladi Federal constituency who is now Senator elect for Plateau Northern Senatorial district of the state, Dr (Barr) Istisfanu Dalyop Gyang has admonished that  he is an apostle of unity that  would use his position  to unify the good people of Plateau.

Dr. Gyang commended Plateau People for coming out enmass to votes for people government to represent them at the National Assembly at the 9th Assembly.

The National Assembly elections made this commendation during a press conference at  his Resident , in Little Rayfield, Jos South Local government area of the State shortly after INEC released the senatorial seat results .

He urged the people of the state to demonstrate greater enthusiasm in the next Saturday Governorship and state house of Assembly elections by coming out to vote out impunity that is being perpetuated by enemies of Democracy.

He decried that the destiny of Plateau state is at stake, and stated the need for people use this opportunity to redesign the fortune of the state, stressing that the only way to do it is to come and vote PDP candidates.

He appeals to the people not to be discouraged by the last attempt by the umpire to steal their mandates by holding hostage the results the national assembly Elections to in the state for four days.

He expressed optimism that the PDP will win the re-run election Declared for Jos North/ Bassa Federal Constituency anytime INEC fix date for the conduct of the poll.

He said as a Legislature he would continue to build brong issue based Legislation, that affect the well-being of the people, and will ensure that equity, fairness and unity remains his cardinal drive goals.

Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, announced that the rerun election for Tudun wada/Kabong ward in Jos North Local Government Area will hold on Saturday, March 9, 2019 concurrently with the Governorship and State Assembly elections.

The House of Representatives election for Jos North/Bassa Constituency which was held last Saturday was declared inconclusive due to the cancellation of results collated from Tudunwada/Kabong ward as a result of over-voting.

The result was not announced until, Thursday at the Jos North collation centre at Jos North LGA complex according to the collation officer, Prof Francis Paide.

He said that the cancelled ward has 92, 234 registered voters which is higher than the difference between the first and second parties with highest votes.
