Imo Sabbath Community Holds Grand Reception For Archbishop Ibemere

The Sabbath Community Church of Nigeria Incorporated Nationwide, Owerri Dioceses in Imo State, at the weekend held a grand reception for their new Archbishop, His Grace, Most Rev. Amb. Andrew Maduabuchi Ibemere and his wife, Rev. Mrs Anna Chigozie, (Mama Owerri), on their Ecclesiastical Provincial Revival visitation of 2022.

The auspicious visit which took place at the  Archdiocesan Headquarters,St. Princilia Adventist Sabbath Church, Princilia Avenue, Aboha Ohii in Owerri West Council Area, witnessed the presence of so many Sabbath Missions within Owerri Diocese including:”Holy Spirit Sabbath Mission, Control Post,All Faithful Sabbath Mission, Mbieri,Our Saviour Sabbath Mission,Awa in Oguta LGA, Spring Light,Ubomiri,New Synagogue,Umuguma,Army of God,Orji among others”.

According to the address signed by the Diocesan Chairman, Bishop Hilary Okoro and Diocesan General Secretary on behalf of the Sabbath Community,”We wish to firstly commend the Archbishop, the President and Founder of the Sabbath Community Church of Nigeria Inc. Nationwide once more for the untiring efforts in taking the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to everyone. This is very much in obedience to the biblical injunction which says,”go ye into the world. Mark 16:15. Our church of today with our commitment to evangelism has once again put her recent static behind, and re-integrates into world missionaries.

Brethren,we take particular pride in the fact that our dear church is amongst very few churches in the Christendom celebrating their Archbishop’s grand reception.

So,we are delighted to be present in this historic occasion and warmly welcome all the members of the Sabbath Community Church, our Honourable invitees, friends and well-wishers.

And we pray that the Almighty God will lead you safely back to your various destinations after this event”.

Meanwhile, the Archbishop,His Grace, Most Rev. Ambassador Andrew Maduabuchi Ibemere, presented merit awards to the three hardworking worshippers which include:”The Diocesan Chairman, Bishop Hilary Okoro, Diocesan Vice Chairman, Archdeacon Ejike Okehi and Diocesan General Secretary,Rev. Michael Dikeocha”.

Archbishop Ibemere expressed happiness over the dedication and commitment posture of the awardees noting that other worshippers would soon receive their own awards according to the directives of the Almighty God.

He however prayed for the blessings and mercies of the Almighty God upon the Sabbath Community.

Speaking to journalists, the Diocesan Vice Chairman, Archdeacon Ejike Okehi thanked the congregation for finding him worthy for the award noting that the honour would spur him for more commitment in discharging the work of God Almighty.

When asked him about the incessant poor participation of Christians in politics, the man of God who submitted that he is a civil servant declined comment,but however advised Christians to show much interest in electing their leaders maintaining that when a righteous person is on the throne, the people rejoice.
