The Nigerian Police Force Imo State Command in Owerri,on Wed.Oct.2nd 2019,paraded some group of cultists (members of Axe Men) who were the killers of one Bruno Uchechukwu,(victim) male, 32 years,at Cherubim Junction Wetheral Road Owerri,on 29th Sept.2019.
The leader of the suspected cultists, Leonard Dennis,male, 22 years, aka Toothpick,and gang,one Mac-Reginald Nnacheta,aka Experience male,29 years,jointly confessed to the crime,though no exhibit was found on them.
The Owerri Municipal cultists in a media interview with newsmen disclosed that they allegedly murdered “Late Bruno” one of the aides of Gov. Emeka Ihedioha’s Special Adviser on Security,Hon.Jasper Ndubuaku,unknownly saying that their early target was a Viking gang member who according to them (the Black Axe Men) stabbed one of their Axe Men gang in Owerri.
The deceased, “Late Bruno” until his death was a native of Atta Ikeduru LGA of Imo State, but residence at No.32 Elekwerenwa Street Owerri, while his killers “Toothpick” and his Axe Men gang were indigenous members of Owerri Municipal.
Meanwhile,the Imo Police Commissioner,Mr.Ladodo Rabiu,said that his command shall continue to fight against insecurity in the State, even as he promised to make cultists, men of underworld and criminals uncomfortable.
He pointed his accusing fingers on those evil gangs at Douglas Road Owerri axis.
In the same vain,the Policemen also paraded a suspect,Mr.Alexander Madu,aged 60 years for alleged case of defilement of his victim,one Little Miss Ijeoma Agu,female, 9years old.
The revealed that on 24th Sept.2019,at Ikeduru Police Division, that one Mr.Chijioke Agu,of Umuoziri Inyishi Ikeduru, the father of the victim,reported a case of defilement of his daughter by one Mr.Alexander Madu,of the same address.
That the complainant, Mr.Agu, said that they are all living in the same vicinity at their house, that whenever the victims mother goes to the Market, the 60 years old man will embark on his defilement mission until luck ran out of him on when the 9 years old girl opened up on 23rd Sept. 2019,as acted upon her complaint.
All the Police Hospital Medical reports confirmed that the young girl was defiled by the old man.
According to the Police, the suspected old rapist will be soon charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded.
Several cases were unveiled during the parade such as:”unlawful possession of hard drugs suspected to be cocaine, child stealing, car snatching,among others”.
The summary of arrests made so far are: Murder/Cultism (2),Armed Robbery (1),Defilement (1),Car Snatching (3),Unlawful Possession of Hard Drugs (2) and Child Stealing (1),total 10.
Number of victims rescued: the stolen child (one Favour Opunwa,female), number of vehicles recovered ( one Navy Blue Toyota Camry,with Reg. No.ABC 20.
Other exhibits recovered include: one GLO Sim card,three MTN Sim cards,where as number of offences were 6 ranging from Murder/ Cultism,Armed Robbery, Defilement, Car Snatching, Unlawful possession of hard drugs and child stealing.
