The Former Commissioner for Lands, and the immediate past Chief of Staff to Governor Rochas Okorocha, Hon.Uche Nwosu, who is also the governorship candidate of the Action Alliance, AA, a political party in Imo State, on Friday 25th Jan.2019 at the Dan Anyaim Stadium Owerri, officially flagged off his 2019 governorship campaign rally amidst an unprecedented crowd.

Speaking, the Imo AA State Party Chairman, Hon. Chief Elder Anthony Uchendu Ahaneku,(Inene Isu Gburugburu), said he is very much over excited to witness the large turn out of Imolites who in their millions trooped out en masse to support Chief Nwosu for his gubernatorial bid in the state.

Elder Ahaneku, therefore noted that Imo AA would produce the next Governor with the satisfied candidacy of Nwosu.

He furthermore appealed on Imolites never to vote any other Guber candidate of another party other than Nwosu and all the AA candidates in the state.

Ahaneku more vowed to make Nwosu the next governor of the state.

The flag off ceremony which was very successful attracted the State leadership and National leadership of AA ably led by the National Chairman of the party, Hon. Kenneth Obidieche Udeze, who in his words expressed satisfaction with the candidacy of Hon.Nwosu, whom he described as a man of impeccable character, humble, a star, hardworking and passionate to work as the next Imo Governor for the general well being and interest of the state.

The AA National party boss, Udeze, while speaking also expressed optimism that Ugwumba Uche Nwosu has won the governorship election in Imo under AA because of the large mammoth crowd of Imolites who attended the flag off cutting across the 3,523 polling units,305 INEC wards and the 27 LGA’s of the state.

Chief Udeze, however, charged Nwosu never to give up his Guber ambition even as he prayed God to disappoint all his political detractors in the state and outside the state.

“Come March 2nd, nobody will take away our assigned divine victory from AA. Our party has come to rule Imo state. We are very prepared with Ugwumba as the next Governor, hunger, unemployment, none payment of workers salaries and pensions arrears shall be a thing of the past. I am only calling and appealing to Imo people to support and vote for all the candidates of AA in the state. Uche is a youth and for that, he should be allowed to perform. We all know he will do more than the present Imo Governor when elected into power”, Udeze submitted.

The AA National Party Chairman therefore as part of their party rituals formerly handed over the party flag to Ugwumba Nwosu as the Imo AA Guber flagbearer for the 2019 polls, even as he further described the flag as a sign of justice, goodwill, and victory.

In his own words, the Imo AA Guber candidate, Hon. Uche Nwosu, thanked the intact leadership of AA in Nigeria for their support, even as he promised never to disappoint them and the people of the state.

“I am a poor boy from a very poor background. I was born by an ordinary catalyst.I was born into a family of a poor man. I sold corn, oranges, banana, plantain, and coconuts in Aba in Abia State. I suffered as a poor child, I went through hell. I was not born as a Governor Rochas Okorocha’s son-in-law but it is a great privilege to be Rochas son-in-law. I came from grass to grace and it was the will of God”, he lamented.

“I left APC and joined AA because of the injustice melted on my Guber aspiration by their National Chairman, Comr.Adams Oshimole. He deprived my Guber ticket”, he alleged.

“Now is time for our political fathers(the old political merchants) to give way for the youths. Their days are numbered. Never again will an old person be allowed to rule Imo again. The youths of the state have weakened up to transform the state as the light of the nation. They should all allowed us (the youths) to take over the leadership of the state. I am coming to work, to consolidate with all Governor Okorocha Rescue Mission govt. has done. I will invest in ICT, free medical health care, free education to continued and to restore the dignity of the state. I will connect the city with the rural areas and make Imo State one city-state. I will over perform, when elected as Okorocha’s successor, come May 29th, 2019”, he maintained.

The former Imo Chief of Staff, Nwosu, said: ” we in AA have chosen President Mohammadu Buhari for his reelection bid via a perfect alliance with the office of the Presidency and the APC”.

The highlight of the flag off was the official presentation of an a-one-million-vote check to President Buhari by the Imo AA Guber candidate and the leadership of AA.
