A Gubernatorial Aspirant under the platform of People Democratic Party ,(PDP) ,Engr ,Dr Ponyak Ibrahim has said ,four years is enough for him to transform the economy of Plateau state and complete all electioneering campaign promises to the electorates in rural areas to enjoy democratic dividends.
Engr Ibrahim made this disclosure while presenting his letter of intent to vie for governorship position of Plateau state on Tuesday in Jos.
He said, he has transverse across the length and breadth of the 247 wards in the 17 local government areas of Plateau state canvassing for the delegates’ votes to enable him deliver on his campaign promises for the good of the state.
He said; “I am into serious business of reforming the state as business hub of Nigeria which I introduced templates on how to liberate the state from the shackles of poverty and illiteracy which had affected the state as a result of bad leadership.
He disclosed that his dressing with a ,”Green and White ” ,is to remind of my covenant with the people of Plateau to help developed the health care delivery ,education ,agriculture and women empowerment program that can impact positively to the well-being of citizens if given the mandate to execute them.
Ponyak revealed that the challenges of current economic recession facing the state now is as a result of poor planning, lack of vision and qualitative representation because.
“I am going to complete the remaining four years of Governor Simon Lalong and do better to repair the damage done by the APC government because I have articulated what to do in the next four years by partnering with the international partners without spending money, Plateau weather is good enough for the state to have free flow of human capital development “, he explained.
Ponyak admonished that the southern zone has the potentials to feed the people of middle belt as he said having a river development basin flowing which he said is a source that farmers can use to cultivate their over 200 hectares of farmlands with million tons of adopted franchise to encourage people assume and obtain loan by all in a bid to make the State a commercial hub of the north.
He frowned at that the way and manner fertilizers reach to farmers adding that it is so discouraging, he said; so from march farmers have already have their fertilizers ready to enter into farming activities ,I intend to do the right thing at the right time not to allow premediated poverty to cause suffering to the State.
Explaining further ,Engr Ponyak encouraged that the mineral deposits in Barkin Ladi ,Wase has potentials to revolutionary the local industries in Plateau state with the power generation station sited, the state will turn to be like Ikeja of Lagos, I want to move with a speed to hand over government to Plateau in 2023 if given the desired mandate.
