Former Deputy Speaker who is now a four-time Member Representing Jos North -North Constituency, Rt Hon Ibrahim Baba-Hassan was under the party pressure to recontest again owing to his track record of achievements.
Hon Ibrahim Baba-Hassan who cautioned against the mass defections of the All Progressive Congress, APC, chieftains said it will directly or indirectly affect the performance of the party in the forthcoming 2019 general election.
He spoke to APC supporters of Jos North, North constituency at the Plateau State House of Assembly complex when they paid him courtesy visit to intimate him of their decision to tell him to vie for the fifth time.
He solicited the understanding of the defectors to come back home, saying you cannot build an edifice and later abandon their structure to someone is not right, right, we all need ourselves to work towards the victory of the party.
Baba-Hassan told his supporters to overwhelmingly cast their votes for Governor Simon Lalong and President Muhammadu Buhari including all the APC seeking for elective positions in the state under the platform of APC family.
According to him, what had kept him flooding in politics of Jos North constituency was his ideology of playing politics of togetherness and all-inclusive by being transparent and committed to peoples oriented program that can impact positively in the lives of his people.
Hon Ibrahim admonished the Plateau people to join hands and introduce projects which can affect the education and wellbeing of the youths in the country.
Meanwhile, Former Deputy Speaker, Rt Hon Yusuf Babayo Gagdi urged the electorates to be magnanimous with their votes and vote for continuity.
We are today celebrating one of our own who is described as a strong political icon of Plateau politics and detribalize Nigeria whose contributions had affected people positively.
Gagdi stressed that best the people have done, is their clarion call to him to vie for the same position, “we his co-members we task you to accomplish all the promises made to him because I want to see this victory reflects in the votes.”
