The IGP wishes to re-affirm the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to providing a peaceful, stable, orderly and secured environment for democracy and other socio-economic activities to thrive. He pledges therefore, that the Force will rededicate itself to the respect and protection of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, particularly as it relates to the observance and enforcement of the fundamental human rights of all, including the rights to freedom of expression, association, assembly, life, etc – without which democracy and democratic gains cannot be attained and enjoyed.
The IGP wishes all Nigerians safe and crime-free celebrations.
