The Ambassadorial nominee from Nasarawa State, Hon. Henry John Omaku says he will remain focused as well as be a worthy Ambassador of Nasarawa state.
The Ambassador-designate disclosed this in an interview with selected Journalists in Lafia, Henry John Omaku.
The energetic politician thanked President Muhammadu Buhari, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for finding him worthy for the exalted position to represent the broad- spectrum populace of Nasarawa state.
He further commended the state Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule and the traditional institution for their total solidarity shower on him.
Omaku promised to be with his people if the need arises, saying the appointment would never be a cogwheel that would disconnect him away from those he is representing.
The Ambassador-designate said he will introduce a scholarship scheme with the aim of given back to the state the gesture extended to him.
“With the support of my people, I stand a better chance to uplift my people especially the youth”.
Ambassador Henry John Omaku called on youth been the backbone of the society to remain firm and focused by shunning all social violence.
He advised the youth to be committed at all times, He further appealed to the youth to shun cultism and anything tantamount to derail the country.
He condemned in strong term the involvement of youth in the recent coup de’ tat that took place in Mali.
Hon. Henry John Omaku, it could be recalled started his political journey as a democratically elected Chairman of Doma Local Government and later on appointed as a commissioner, Local Government Service Commission.
He also held the position of the Chairman of the Nasarawa State Independent National Electoral Commission before his recent appointment by President Buhari as an Ambassador-designate.
