I Have No Evil Intention Against Lalong Govt Says Mutfwang

Yakubu Busari

The embattled Chairman of Mangu Local Government of Plateau State Hon. Barr. Caleb Mutfwang has disclosed that he and other dissolved chairmen has no evil intention against the Governor.

Mutfwang explained that  with the illegal dissolution of the Local government structures in the state,  all the Council chairmen have been praying for the Governor to succeed and will never plan evil against him as being spread by some APC supporters in the state.

The former Council Boss stated this yesterday during a Church Thanksgiving Service organized in his honour held at COCIN LCC Ampang West Mangu LGC of the state.

He said the word of God instructs Christians to pray for Leaders in authority, as such they as council chairmen will continue to pray for Governor Simon Lalong to succeed in his four year tenure as the governor of the state for development and betterment of the state.

“We will continue to pray for Governor Lalong to succeed as the leader of the state”.

While speaking about the reason of his thanksgiving the council chairman, said he has every reason to give thanks to God for his faithfulness upon his life and that of his family, saying when you give thanks he lifts you up.

The Preacher and Reverend in charge of the Regional Church Council Ampang west Rev. Ishaku Dikut who took his Bible reading from the book of 1st Thessalonians chapter five verse 14-18, charged Christians to give thanks to God in all circumstances that they found themselves.

The clergy in his sermon titled; “Behold the goodness of the Lord” challenged all political leaders to make sure that they didn’t pay back wrong for wrong, but always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else.

“As a Christian leader I want to charge you not to pay evil with evil, but in all circumstances give thanks to God for his faithfulness”.

It would be recalled that the Plateau State Governor Barr. Simon Lalong had on 6th July 2015 terminated the tenure of the elected council officials and announced the immediate dissolution of the elected council Chairmen of the seventeen Local Government Areas of the state.
