I am deeply shocked, and saddened by the news of the passing away of an illustrious son of Bauchi State, Distinguished Senator Ali Wakili, mni.
Late Senator Wakili was a true friend and brother to me. He was very passionate about Nigeria, with very positive aspirations for the country. He was a very humble man, who always cracked jokes with people around him. He was deeply concerned about the plight of the less privileged.
Brother Wakili was a fellow founder of the APC in Bauchi State and we worked together as members of the APC caretaker committee when we were setting it up and, subsequently worked together towards our party’s victory in the 2015 elections. Such a tragic loss!
I pray that Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala) grant him Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen
