Two farmers who were claimed to be using traditional juju in Gbajimba Local Government Area of Benue state has been alleged to have kidnapped, one Mr. Tyohee Gbande.
Tyohee Gbande who lives in Ore, Irepodun of Kwara state left the family residence on the 19th day of August 2016 with one Dooior Uke, Tyover Koragah and two others and headed to Benue state to consult an Oracle on what appears strange to them.
Report stated that Dooior Uke of the same address said Tyohee Gbande might be responsible for the improper yielding of his farm this raining season, a circumstances that compelled them to visit Gbajimba for clarity.
It was gathered that, on reaching there, a native doctor there, Doctor Ayutse conducted trial by ordeal on Tyohee and said he is convicted of the allegation and that Tyohee must give a sum of N200, 000 before he could be freed.
Disturbed by this the family, we were told dragged the matter to the Gbajimba Police Division but the action of the personnel there seemed compromised.
It was however gathered that the matter was then reported to the Commissioner of Police Benue State command who ordered that both the native doctor and the complainants be arrested for interrogation.
Consequently, it was gathered that on effort to act on the order of the commissioner of police the patrol team was said to have invaded the scene of the event but could not find anybody there, as the native doctor and others were at large.
The family member said they are worried over his missing in the community and his phone is no longer picked by him each time it is called, rather it is being answered by the native doctor.
Speaking to our correspondent in Benue the Son of the missing father, kwaghdega Tyohee raised alarm that his father’s whereabouts has continued to bring them sleepless nights.
He said the sudden disappearance of the bread winner seems to be a case of conspired abduction.
Adding that Dooior Uke, who made the allegation against his father was seen trying to board for a vehcle at Wurukum in Makurdi back to kwara state and when he failed to give him a satisfied information about the where about of his father, alerted the police at E-Divion where he has been arrested.
He however appeals to the security officials to intensify efforts towards ensuring that his father is traced unharmed and the culprits are brought to book.
