How Trade And Investment Minister, Elenemah, Diamond Bank, Stanbic IBTC and 2 Other Banks Are Enmeshed In $13.9bn MTN Capital Flight Scandal

Senator Dino Melaye, on Tuesday at Plenary said Minister of Trade and Investment Dr. Okechukwu Elenemah and four Banks, namely Stanbic, Diamond, Standard Chartered and Citi Bank allegedly involved in secret deal with MTN Nigeria, to illegally move $13.9 billion out of the country.

Meanwhile, the Senate has directed its Banking, Insurance and other Financial Institutions Committee to investigate the matter.

It would be recalled that last week, Melaye had promised to open on the alleged deal today being Tuesday, as the FCT Committee Chairman has accused of MTN Nigeria of moving the sum of $13.9 billion out of Nigeria between 2006 and 2016.
