A mild drama happened at the Plateau State High Court on Tuesday when some thugs allegedly sponsored by the Provost Federal College of Laboratory Science, Jos Dr. Sunday Etukudo assaulted a journalist, Mr. Azi Peter Aware at the sitting for attempting to report the anti-corruption case concerning the Rector for allegedly defaulting the college which runs into billions of naira.
Comrade, Aware was about to report the incident of money laundering, misappropriation and high corrupt practices of the Rector of Federal College of Science Laboratory in Jos, when angry miscreants and thugs descended on him.
According to Comrade Aware Azi explained further he stated that thugs numbering about 20 came and snatched his phones.
The Provost of the college with Four (4) others was accused of misappropriating of over millions of Naira, ranging from awards of contracts and others.
According to him, the Provost is standing trial of awarding contracts to his company Makata Construction Limited as well as using it to siphon money.
However, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC’s detective Abdurazak Salawu, and their Counsel, Samuel Okelele displayed exhibit P35 A And B which is an Access Bank account belonging to Itukudo, who is the First Defendant.
It stated that on the 9-10-2008, the Sum of Nineteen Million Was Paid into the Matata Construction, while other funds were also stolen through that means.
