The Former Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Barr.Solomon Selcap Dalung has raised concern that political bandits have kidnapped President Muhammadu Buhari and Kept him inside the presidency to pave the way for massive looting of the country’s wealth while milking all the ministries and other Federal agencies to impoverished Nigerians.
Dalung stated this in an interview with journalists at the DSS headquarters in Jos, while on his clearance to contest from Langtang North: South Federal constituency on Wednesday, vying under the platform of Social Democratic Party, SDP, Langtang North /South Federal constituency.
He explained that “when someone speaks about integrity, President Muhammadu Buhari has all these credentials and he is still a good man but he doesn’t have the political will, energy, and vigor to implement his campaign promises because the energy to govern people is not there.
According to him,” he can appoint you today and even sign your letter of appointment, and tomorrow another person’s name shall be announced with this, he won’t know whether you have been appointed.
You see now, President Buhari is surrounded by political bandits who have kidnapped him and kept him inside the presidency to be using his influence in collecting ransom with his name in CBN, and all the federal government offices “, he said.
Barr.Solomon called on Nigerian electorates not to vote for the wrong leaders, or we don’t need to vote for political bandits again but to search for someone with qualitative leadership, that will ask that if Mr. John is given that same opportunity of appointment as the director general of DSS then people should be able to trust him with the mantle of leadership.
We should gather as Nigerians to commend and eulogize the styles of balance leadership, not the type of President Muhammadu Buhari appointment that another Ahmadu will be sitting down at the villa to watch and give directives on how to siphon and manipulate the resources and share it with his acronym
Dalung emphasizes that the country needs to appoint and elect those that are strong with enough energy to promote good governance not those with questionable characters and fraudulent acts in their records.
He expressed further,” I don’t understand the perception that they are concerned about my popularity in Langtang North and South the little that I ever heard was that I’m a news item myself, I speak whenever I choose to speak and I can speak on national issues which that I have not done so due to my state of minds to my table is subjective.
The former Minister disclosed that I shall not be surprised by the APC saying whatever they’re saying about me but they are expressing their personal grievances again me.
Dalung revealed that since he denounced membership in APC the party went into limbo nobody heard of them at the national and nobody came to speak of some government issues.
He accused the APC of suffering from a monumental loss, that one of their greatest assets dumped them for another political party.
Dalung stressed that this 2023 general elections would be on an issue based because politics have actually moved out of political parties to the individual, everybody contesting for president down to states they have to start marketing themselves not their political parties as it used to be.
He admonished politicians that it is not business as usual because politicians are no longer safe, in 1999 political parties were on manifesto but are worried that in 2023 the political pendulum would shift when the people trust you and see you as assets and they support that.
