How Nasarawa SSG Saved Overseer Lafia North From Angry Youth Who Nearly Lynched Him For Demolishing Sheabutter Company

Is not yet over until is over, this best described the unabated skirmishes between the overseer of Lafia North, The administrative head of Shabu for demolishing a Sheabutter industry financed by the Federal Government.
Hon. Suleiman Agyo, the overseer of Lafia Development Area of Lafia Local Government narrowly escaped lynched by angry youth of Shabu for directing a grader to demolish the ongoing cottage industry cited by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture.
An eyewitness narrated that Suleiman jumped into the booth of the Secretary to the State Government official car who was alerted on what the overseer has committed to the multi-million naira project which if completed would create a job to over fifty youth from Shabu, the host community.
Feelers revealed that youth in their hundred were seen with weapons moving towards the embattled overseer, The trouble started in 2020 when the Federal Ministry of Agriculture mobilized contractor to the site but was directed to stop work indefinitely by Hon. Suleiman.
It was gathered that the crisis between the paramount ruler of Shabu and the overseer lasted for forty-two hours with the intervention of a two-time civilian Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Adamu.
The overseer was accused by insiders in the palace of Sangarin Shabu of disrespecting the exalted seat of the monarch.
Suleiman Agyo in a telephone conversation denied the allegations leveled against him for demolishing the cottage Sheabutter company which if completed would create over fifty jobs for the teeming youths.
He blamed the palace of Sangarin Shabu for breaching laid down protocol by allocating land to the beneficiaries without due process; Agyo said he would not be a party to things done wrongly.
“The role I play as the Overseer is to approach Nasarawa Urban Development Board and I complained that I directed the beneficiaries and those that allocate the land to put it in written to serve as evidence in case I vacate this seat nobody should blame me selling a plot of land of the Development Area to a company”
Hon. Suleiman Agyo categorically stated that the demolition exercise was done in good fate but not with the intent to hoodwink the office of anybody.
The demolition of the multi-million naira building which was the completion stage continued to generate tension in Shabu as feelers are accusing some stakeholders of heralding the silent crisis that may escalate to a full-fletched breakdown of law and order.
The Sangarin Shabu could not be reached for comment over the ugly happening between the Overseer of Lafia North and the palace, only time shall tell.
