A Driver to the Acting Chief Medical Director of Jos University Teaching Hospital, JUTH, on Wednesday evening, assaulted a reporter of Democratic News correspondent at the Permanent site, when they threatened his life over his active contributions on Lamigo development association of Afizere original land owners.
The information available to this medium revealed that they have been planning a secret attack on his personality, on sighting him parking within the premises of JUTH of which one approached me, claiming to be offering advice to park properly.
Mr. Peter Azi narrated his ordeal that the guy singled him out with insults and threatened his life after which he gave me heavy slaps almost five times.
According to him, the incident occurred at about 6 pm around the JUTH ATM machine site when he was there to withdraw cash and he met them parked on the wrong side of the driveway.
He said during their conversation he never knew that he had intentions to attack him by raining several slaps on my face which blinded my sight for a while.
Azi says,” I was accosted by the driver of the Chairman Medical Advisory Committee to park well and I told him OK and he reacted that I lack manners then I asked him is it wrong for me to answer OK?
He explained further that immediately his colleague who is the driver of Acting CMD came and slapped me four times and said he has been monitoring me since the time that I led the youth of the community and blocked the entrance gates of the hospital.
Mr. Shut whose second name is clear to me at the time of his attack is not caused me bruises and injuries, since yesterday he has been hospitalized.
Mr. Azi is now appealing to authorities to thoroughly investigate the issue by stopping insults and attacks on innocent Nigerian by the CMD higher thugs wreaking havoc.
He disclosed that this incident has been reported to Nassarawa Division as a threat to my life and equally a threat to myself at the private clinic in Jos.
I want Justice to be served, our lives are under serious threat by the Hospital and its staff.
We are not safe intern of emissions and pollution from the hospital and physical threats by their staff always and the host community has been left in peace and security around the Hospital but yet we are being maltreated on a daily basis.
I want to call on the Federal Government of Nigeria to as matter of urgency, construct an access road to our communities that will separate us from the hospital and compel the Hospital to perform her cooperative social responsibilities to the hospital which they have failed to do.
