How Jonah Jang Wasted State Resources As Governor—-Lalong’s Aide, Manjang

The  Special Adviser to Governor Simon Bako Lalong on media, Hon. Dan Manjang  has accused the regime of former governor Jonah David Jang as a wasted government to the people of Plateau state and yearning and aspirations of the state.

The judicial commission of Inquiry set up by governor Simon Lalong to probe the eight -years of the former regime of Governor Jonah Jang has indicted him for wasting federal allocation resources meant  for the people of Plateau state.

Universalreporters247.com learnt that about 105 applications have been received by the commission secretariat, the adviser said; “we are working within the ambits of law, public funds were wasted by the past administration and soon the inquiry shall reveal it to the people of the state.

The Special Adviser to Governor Simon Lalong, Hon Dan Manjang who spoke to our correspondent at Dadin Kowa Youth center on Thursday, expressed confidence on the coverage.

He said, the judicial commission of inquiry was created to ascertain how much of funds and resources which was looted by Jang’s administration and also to ensure accountability and transparency to the public dormant.

The judicial commission of inquiry into the activities of governance between 29th May 2007-29 May ,2015 Holden at Azi Nyako youth centre , has  Hon .Justice’s Stephen Adah (JCA) as Chairman, Prof.Ekoja B.Ekoja member, Engr Simon Onu Agamah member, Prof. Bibiana Bawa member and Barr. Aliyu Sangei member.

However, the registrar disclosed that there are memo No .JCI /100/2016 ministry for local government and chieftaincy , Memo No JCI /73/2016 for chairman ,local government service commission , Memo No JCI /24/2016 for Auditor General ,Plateau state and Memo No JCI /49/2016 local Government pension board respectively.

He commended Lalong for setting up this inquiry to make the citizens of plateau state judge the level of prudence of management of their resources.

Manjang applauded the media practitioners in plateau state for keeping to the tenets of the professional ethics which they have always guide their conduct.

He solicited the cooperation of colleagues to build synergy and remain focus and be objective in their reportage , adding  that soon he will embark on media tour of the state heads of media in the state and country.

According to him, the regime will never embark on propaganda of telling lies to the good people of Plateau State but to ensure that the truth is revealed and not campaign of fake agenda.

“I shall advise the governor on the right thing on how to move the state forward by balconies to bridge the beacon on media support to avoid junk and yellow journalism “he noted.

“We have responsibility toward colleagues ,and government shall maximize the lean resources to improve the well-being of state media “,he added.
