How Hon. Francis Orogu Flouted Nasarawa PDP Zoning Barely Two Years

If the interview granted to selected Journalists by the incumbent Chairman of the opposition party in Nasarawa state, Hon. Francis Orogu is anything to go by then the current Chairman is the first to flout the party decision to contest for the Chairmanship seat of the People’s Democratic Party.

Orogu violated the decision of the State Executive Committee for zoning the seat of Chairman of the party to Obi Local Government but the present Chairman resisted the agreement.

Francis Orogu contested against Bar. Yakubu from Obi Local Government by emerging the winner with the support of the former House of Assembly members and four serving members.

“You must listen to advice of the party, however if any aspirant thinks is on ground and choose to play his game without listening to party advice”.

“If the party has a target to win election it would go the other way”.

While reacting over a news item exposing him of heralding the move to stop Onawo from going to Senate.

Orogu averred that he has no grounds to disqualified any candidate to contest for Senate or House of Representatives.

The State chairman of the Party also denied attending any meeting with the National Party Chairman, Uche Secondus.

We will ensure transparency in the conduct of primaries.
