How Governor Al-Makura Received Over N275 billion From 2011-2017 With Nothing To Show For It-Labaran Maku

The former minister of Information, Labaran Maku has uncovered that governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura received over N275bn from 2011-2017.

The governorship candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance hinted this during the commissioning of a multi-purpose hall constructed by Majalisan Maccido ,Andaha foundation and handed over to Nunku Community Development Association.

Maku raised eyebrow over the neglect of Nasarawa North by the present state government even with the huge amount received from the federal Allocation Account Committee no tangible project to boost of in the zone.

“Even with the huge resource our workers are victims of percentage payment with bailout 1 and 2 and Paris/London club refund 1 and 2 civil servants were owned backlog of arrears”.

Saying the pronouncements of President Muhammad Buhari on bailout and Paris/London club refund to clear arreas of salaries and pension is an exercise in futility.

He protested that workers salary was meant for payment of salaries but not for the execution of projects.

“All he did are mere cosmetics in the area of road, building schools; another thing is that you can’t develop Nasarawa state with injustice”.

Calling on politicians in Nasarawa north to unite for the interest of the zone, saying good thing never comes easier.

He said lack of coercion by stakeholders is a serious rumpus, he averred that injustice has been meted.

He appealed to all tribes in zone to build bridges of peace for the progress of Nasarawa state and Akwanga federation.

“No body from Keffi and Lafia zone should be allow to use posters for 2019 governorship candidate.
