How Governor Al-Makura Allegedly Expends N20m Monthly On Police Chopper

Nasarawa State Governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, universalreporters247.com gathered that the Government of Nasarawa state is allegedly spending N20m monthly for the maintenance of police surveillance chopper allocated to North-Central states comprises of Nasarawa, Jos, Kogi, Kwara, Federal Capital Territory (Abuja) and Benue states.

This medium learnt from a police source, that the chopper was meant to provide protection and security to people leaving along the crisis-stricken states, a police source who confided to universalreporters247.com stated that Nasarawa state was chosen as the helipad of the police chopper.

The Governor after his second inauguration has diverted the chopper allocated to the states devastated by Fulani/Farmers skirmishes, even despite the presence of the chopper, communal violence remained unabated.

As at press time unconfirmed source revealed that the state Deputy Governor, Silas Ali Agara including the state police commissioner and other heads of security agencies were prevented by Fulani gunmen from landing at Odeni Magaji.

It was gathered the Fulani gunmen were shooting sporadically on the air.

However, when contacted the Police Public Relation Officer, Ismaila Numan declined comment on the attack.
