The Plateau State Governor, Simon Bako Lalong has been mounting pressures on the Plateau House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon Joshua Madaki to put his resignation letter as the Speaker.

This medium gathered that the Governor is working hard to remove the new speaker as he felt intimidated by the body language of the members of the Eight Assembly who are complaining bitterly that their constituencies allowance and seating allowance was not given to them getting for almost years now.

It would be recalled that the House members unanimously took the drastic decision to change the leadership of the House due to non-performance and failure to conduct fresh Local Government Elections to usher in elected chairmen since the inception of the APC government under the Lalong’s regime.

Universalreportersng.com findings reveal how the Governor is trying to use the party chieftains at all levels even as he is holding series of meetings behind closed doors all in a bid to trash the decision of the House members who rose and condemned the injustice, incompetency of the former Speaker, Rt Hon Peter Azi.

It was also gathered by this medium that the sacked former Speaker Rt, Hon Peter Azi is lobbying the Governor Simon Lalong friends and family to achieve the said objective considering his inability to precede the sitting.

Sources told this medium that the Governor has sent a high powered delegation of party stalwarts to meet with the Afizere people where the Speaker came from who are not happy with the way and manner the impeached Speaker treated them while occupying the position of Speakership since he was sworn in.

Many politicians who stood firm then for the impeached speaker are now regretting their contribution because they believe he was getting the money yet he pretended he wasn’t getting anything but rather chose to entertain those who never contributed to his success or added any value.

“They Afizere people all expressed displeasure with the sacked speaker as someone who didn’t care about his own people rather diverted all to buildings of edifice within Jos, so we are rejecting all the plead for him to carry his cross,” the source said.
