  • Ferment Trouble And Risked Arrest-Chairman Doma Local Govt Warns Violators of Laws

The executive Chairman of Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, Hon. Rabo Sani has warned people fermenting trouble to turn a new leaf or faced the full wrath of the law.

 

The Chairman disclosed this during a broad security meeting held at Idadu Community of Doma Local Government, The Council Chairman in the company of tight security especially army from 123 Special Forces Battalion Barrack, Doma, Vigilante and National Task Force.

 

Hon. Rabo Sani expressed displeasure over the unwholesome attacked on TIV and other peace-loving people of Idadu leading to the amputation of the hand of a TIV woman and amongst others who were attacked and chased away from their farms.

 

He said the crisis must stop in the interest of peace or army would take full control of the farmland causing wanton disturbances.

 

“We know those causing trouble in Idadu and part of the Ekye Development Area and as a responsible representative of the people whose duty is to protect lives and values of our subordinate we will not condone us”.

” I repeat we will not hesitate to punish evil merchants in Idadu and its environs especially those causing untold hardship to Farmers in the wet season”.

 

He said farming is the only predominant occupation of the people of Doma Community, for that nobody has the right to stop others from farming.

 

He appealed to the diverse ethnic group in the Community to leave as brothers and sisters.

 

The Chairman described peace as a panacea for the development of every nation, saying it is a must for people to shun brutality.

 

The representatives of all the ethnic groups in the meeting expressed discontentment over the State of security, calling for a concerted effort by the State Government and Federal Government to provide more security personnel to the crisis-stricken inhabitant.

 

A representative of the Igbos, Mr. Ejike in his contributions, lamented and recalled the way and manner his kinsmen were brutally killed during the last crisis, calling on Government to beefed-up more security.

Sule Osokunu the representative of Alago shower dismay over the way things are going on in the Community, he commended the Paramount ruler, Engr.Mohammed Addra for organizing weekly security aimed at bringing a lasting solution to insecurity in Idadu.

 

Fidelis John the Aren Eggon of Idadu Community applauded the Chairman of Doma and the monarch for following the path of peace.

Kpakana Audu the representative of TIV said Fulani are taking advantage of the 2011 crisis causing havoc to Tiv nation, he buttressed that herders invaded their farmland rendering them harmless.

 

He blamed Mallam Biki for telling the Tivs that all the farmlands belong to herders and not the Tivs.

 

“Even with the interference of the Paramount ruler, Engr. Addra and the monarch of Agbashi insisted that Tiv will not come back to Idadu”.

 

Audu explained that pastoralists turned their wives and girls into a sex machine and they said we shouldn’t farm any longer.

 

The spokesperson of Fulani herders, Aminu Abdullahi attributed the invasion of farmland by pastoralists to the total blockage of cattle routes by farmers.

 

The Chairman, Rabo Sani after listening to all the parties admonished parents on good virtues and upbringing of their wards.

 

“In our midst at this meeting if you know that you are above the law just come out and declares to us and sees how Government will react”.

 

He gave a standing order that brutality must stop for the sake of peace and tranquility, adding that farmers must go to the farm.

Stakeholders during a security at Idadu

Head of Intelligence and operation, 123 Special Forces Battalion Barrack, Musa Audu gave a stiff warning to those fomenting trouble to stay clear of Idadu Community or risked arrest.

 

“Is game over for Kidnappers, rapists, theft, smuggling, cattle rustlers, all this must stop”. He warned.

 

“From now henceforth, if you kill Fulani cow consider yourself you kill soldier, if you cut anyone with matchet consider yourself matcheting a soldier, Musa told the mammoth crowd.
