The Speaker of Doma Local Government legislative arm, Albert Igbabo was suspended y five out of ten of the Councilors in the early hours of 08:21 am at the guest house of the Local Government last (Tuesday).
The Speaker, according to the majority leader Hon. Ibrahim Aliyu, Councilor representing Madaki ward while contributing described the reversal of the inauguration of Hon.Mohammed Mustapha as illegitimate decision by the Speaker
The majority leaders affirmed that the winner of the Councillorship seat of Sarkin Dawaki ward, Hon Mohammed Mustapha was certified by a High Court sitting in Obi as a Judgement at the right direction.
Saying the decision and reversal were ill-gotten and one decision not Doma legislative arm and move for the suspension of the Speaker was supported by four other Councilors.
The sitting was attended by the Deputy Speaker, Hon Mohammed Idris representing Alagye ward, The Acting Speaker who read the decision of the legislative arm directed the Clerk of Doma Local Government to do the needful by communicating to the Speaker, Hon. Albert Igbabo of the latest development.
Other Councilors in attendance are Hon. Awal Abdullahi Okawu representing Sabon Gari ward, The majority Leader of the Local Government, Ibrahim Aliyu representing Madaki Ward Hon Mohammed Mustapha representing Sarkin Dawaki ward,Hon. Mohammed Idris representing Alagye ward is the Acting Speaker and Hon. Sule Adamu Ogu represents Madauci ward movde for his impeachment
The legislative arm of Doma Local Government announced that the legislative council are going on Sallah recess.
