The Member Representing Irigwe /Bassa at the Plateau State House of Assembly, Hon. Musa Agah has emerged as the sole candidate of the People Democratic Party, PDP, chapter for the Jos North /Bassa Federal Constituency in the forthcoming bye-election.

Hon. Musa Agah the current Assembly Member, scored 152 votes, while Hon . Jonathan Dabo the former candidate got 127 votes and Hon. David Racha had 1 vote with 1 invalid vote in the just-concluded Congress of the PDP.

The returning officer, Hon. Francis O.Orogu announced the outcome of the primary which was held at Lamonde Hotel on Thursday . However, many described the exercise as one of the most peaceful.

He said,”having seen the keenly contest between the aspirants as everyone one of them demonstrated the quality of leadership, so we urge the members of the PDP family to ignore any human error that might have to occur in the process of voting.

Orogu charged them to work together as one family and accept the results for the party to produce the next member of the House of Representatives for Jos North /Bassa seat.

According to him, Plateau state is amongst states in Nigeria that is in dire need of the party, and with the overwhelming support given by all the parties, the PDP is going to receive more decampees from the opposition parties.

He maintained that the party has taken a crucial stage across the nation asking the security agencies, INEC as worshippers of God to be transparent to let the will of Nigerian decide not what the INEC or security agencies dictate to at the poll.

In his acceptance speech, Hon. Musa Agah said he appreciated the voters for finding him worthy to be elected as the PDP flag bearer in the forthcoming race.

He pointed out that God Almighty deems its feet to allow the exercise of making the choice him to contest, so with a laudable gesture, no victor no vanquish because this is an in-house style.

Agah stated that my expectations are that PDP would clinch the seat, he, however, commended the doggedness of the delegates for the support “.

He assured of teeming with the other aspirants to forge ahead of the manner PDP conducted themselves had indicated that the party is quite different from others who can’t conduct the peaceful election.
